Mainstreaming Gender in Social and Health Care Training

The main idea of Mainstreaming Gender in Social and Health Care Training- project is to draw more male applicants into the existing social-and healthcare training courses so that Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences will be better able to answer to the needs of the current working life situation and to the needs of the clients by taking gender perspectives into account. The project also endeavours to answer to the question of total workforce need in social and health care sector in general. The main target group of the project is men who have completed at least their upper secondary education or other higher education degrees and they are changing jobs, are unemployment or under the threat of unemployment. The project cooperate with Saimaa University of Applied Sciences.
