By bike, kickboard and bus in Päijät-Sote - project PPBP

The aim is to promote sustainable commuting and to support the well-being and resilience of the Päijät-Häme Welfare Group's employees. The project will involve several pilots:?

Employer co-sponsored bus ticket and bicycles for commuting between home and workplace

Using shared city-e-bikes and electric kickboards to increase sustainable mobility during the working day.

Leasing shared electric bikes for home care workers.

Utilizing communicational tools to guide employees in choosing sustainable modes of transportation.

Once the pilots are completed, the information obtained from them will be used to design and scale the best suitable experiments to apply the entire Päijät-Sote personnel. Information on the mobility of the pilot groups and the success of the experiment will be obtained through surveys.

PPBP is a collaborative project managed by Päijät-Sote and funded by Traficom. The other project partners are LAB University of Applied Sciences, LUT University, the City of Lahti and several service companies. The project aims to strengthen cooperation between different actors and to take advantage of the experimentation and introduction of new mobility services.
