Tutkimusmatkalla tuntemattomaan – Monimuotoisuus yrityksen menestystekijänä

Many companies would be willing to hire employees with an immigrant background, but they need support and tools to succeed. The project offers participant companies the possibility to exchange expertise with other regional employers and develop a plan of action.

The project accepts 12 companies that will develop their vision through visits, observation, and working together. Every participating company will get its development plan or road map.

Funded by the Regional Council of Päijät-Häme, the project is implemented by the LAB University of Applied Sciences. The implementation period is 01.01.–31.12.2023.

Objectives

The project aims to support the recruitment, orientation and building of a culturally diverse work community in the companies of the Päijät-Häme region.

The project develops a new model of peer development to share expertise between companies.

Results

As a result of the project, the expertise of the participating companies develops in matters related to recruitment, orientation at work for employees with an immigrant background, and the management of a culturally diverse work community. The company gets its road map for development. The model of peer development created as a result of cooperation between the project and the participating companies could be used by other employers in the region.
