Creative career in packaging and brand design
In the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Packaging and Brand Design, students learn to design packaging and brand materials for businesses and industry. During their studies, students gain design, R&D and entrepreneurship skills.
Creative problem solving and teamwork skills are at the core of the studies. Graduates from the programme are used to collaborating with professionals of different fields. Students learn to view design assignments from various points of view and to take into account the requirements of both the packaging industry and client brands. They work in a business setting but are able to consider the social and ethical needs of users as well as sustainability and the environment.
The programme strongly emphasises graphic design and the application of industrial design methods to packaging and brands. As studies advance, more and more of the learning will take place in real-life assignments and projects. Cooperation with local and international businesses ensures that the content of the studies is up to date and the professional networking possibilities are outstanding. This has proven to be a valuable tool towards a running start to a successful career.
Graduates can work in the packaging industry, advertising, brand development, design companies or retail. Internationally, the packaging industry is a versatile, major employer. Finnish packaging know-how is at the top of the game worldwide. Our Packaging and Brand Design Programme has a strong international network of collaboration and academic exchange.
